Habitat for Humanity of Wake CountyEach year, we sponsor and help in the building of a house through the Apostles Build Program, a 12-church coalition with builds a Habitat for Humanity home together. | Urban Ministries of Wake CountyUrban Ministries of Wake County is a nonprofit organization that provides essential basic services to over 13,000 families and individuals in Wake County every year. These services include emergency and transitional housing, medical care, prescription medications, financial assistance, food assistance and other support services to promote self-sufficiency and a stable home environment for those in need. We donate food for its Crisis Intervention Program, contribute funds, and we prepare & serve dinner at the Helen Wright Center, a shelter for women, four times a year, plus other activities throughout the year. |
Jeffery’s Grove Elementary School TutoringWe support needy children at this school through tutoring and donations of school supplies and clothing. |
Gleaning to feed the hungryDuring growing season, we team up with the St. Andrews Network to glean nearby fields for strawberries, peaches, sweet potatoes, whatever is ripe to pick. Farmers allow this nonprofit network to collect crops as delivery them to nearby poorer communities or low-income housing facilities in the Triangle. |
Loaves and Fishes of Raleigh Loaves and Fishes is a nonprofit organization works intensively with a small group of poor families – making sure the children get to school and receive tutoring and counseling, and help the adults with parenting and other skills. We help with programs to celebrate the successes of the children, help to improve the facilities, and purchase Christmas gifts for the children and their families through our Angel Tree program. |
Food Bank of Central & Eastern NCThe Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a non-profit organization that provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina, We donate food and typically help sort food several times a year. |
Adopt-a-StreamNRPC has adopted a stream in North Raleigh, which we clean and maintain for the City twice a year. It gives us the opportunity to serve Christ by being good stewards of the environment. |
Triangle Family ServicesWe support TFS by sponsoring a family who is on the verge of losing their home. Triangle Family Services helps working families turn their financial problems around through a comprehensive program of ongoing credit counseling and financial support. |
Capital Area Presbyterian Council (CAPCI)CAPCI is a cooperative ministry of Presbyterian churches in the Wake County area. This ministry is two-fold; to help establish new churches (and the redevelopment of existing churches) and to provide vital ministries in our community on behalf of the Presbyterian Church (USA). |
Foster Care Love Bags for Wake CountyEach year, many children in Wake County enter foster care so quickly that they don’t have their own possessions. So we collect and purchase supplies to create Love Bags for children of all ages, so that they’ll have what they need. |
